Rev. Heidi Barham was installed as the pastor of Ledgewood Christian Church in October 2014 after serving as the Interim Pastor since January of that same year. She earned her Master of Divinity degree from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2006 and was ordained into Christian ministry within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in June 2007. Prior to coming to Ledgewood, Pastor Heidi served as an associate minister at Bethany Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Cleveland for ten years. In addition to serving as the pastor at Ledgewood, she is employed full-time as the Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with Hospice of the Western Reserve where she previously served as a Spiritual Care Coordinator. Pastor Heidi is also adjunct faculty with Indiana Wesleyan University.
Pastor Heidi is a member of the Executive Board of God Before Guns, a multi-faith coalition working to reduce gun violence through community engagement, education, advocacy and convening and collaborating with diverse faith communities and other partners. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Memorial Society, the Cleveland Alzheimer's Disease Research Center Minority Advisory Board and the Diversity Advisory Council for the Cleveland Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. She also volunteers as part of the clergy faculty for the Job Opportunities Breakthrough Services (JOBS) program at Mt. Zion Congregational Church UCC, which is a faith-driven collaboration of churches and businesses that provides job preparedness training and placement assistance for the unemployed and underemployed. She is affiliated with the Chagrin Valley Council of Churches, the LeadDiversity Alumni Association, the Ashland Theological Seminary Alumni Association as well as the Karamu Alumni Association and is a Diamond-Life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Pastor Heidi and her husband, Ron, are native Clevelanders and feel blessed to be a part of the Ledgewood Christian Church family. Her personal philosophy of life and ministry can be summed up with the acronym F.R.O.G. - Fully Rely On God.
