Each week, following the worship service, we provide a list of prayer requests that have been lifted during our time of "Joys and Concerns" so that everyone has an opportunity to be intentional in praying with and for one another throughout the week.  Each Thankful Tuesday, an email is sent out with a reminder of the prayer concerns and joys that were shared on Sunday as well as any additional requests that have been received as well. [Please note, in an effort to maintain confidentiality and provide a safe space, we use only a first name or initials.]

We call it Thankful Tuesday because we are thankful for all of the ways that we witness God answering our prayers.  We are reminded of what the Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 4:6, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God," and 1 Thessalonians 5:16 - 18, "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
